Preconception and Wellness Care

Hormone, Sperm and Egg Health

Preconception care is vitally important in pregnancy.  It takes 120 days to create an egg – we’ll work with you to make it the best egg possible. Dr. Sarah uses blood and salivary tests to provide the information you need for a healthy pregnancy.

How we Support Egg Health

Genetic testing detects abnormalities in the MTHFR gene, which affects the way folic acid is absorbed by your body.  Folic acid is essential for development of your baby and insufficient levels can cause neural tube defects such as cleft lip and tongue tie.

Blood and saliva nutritional levels will test the levels of D3 and Omega 3, 6, and 9, which are the building blocks of healthy cell membranes.

Trouble conceiving or carrying a viable pregnancy can be related to nutritional deficiencies, which contribute to poor quality sperm/ova, or uterine dysfunction caused by pelvic subluxation.  If you are well, your body will function at its best.  Dr. Sarah’s preconception and fertility care, combined with pregnancy and post-partum care, will give you the best chance for a healthy pregnancy and a happy, healthy baby.
