Colleen Kurtz, LCSW, NTP
Colleen began her nutritional journey after years of battling a variety of symptoms including migraines, chronic fatigue, joint pain, digestive disturbances, and more, with an eventual diagnosis of Celiac disease. After becoming tired of being prescribed pharmaceuticals with no real relief, Colleen sought out dietary and nutritional changes as a means of achieving optimal health, with success.
Colleen holds a Bachelors in Science in Psychology from Western Michigan University and Masters in Social Work from University of Illinois at Chicago, Jane Addams College of Social Work. Colleen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and throughout her social work career, she has worked in medical, hospice, and psychiatric settings. During this time, her passion for preventive health grew as well as a focus on how our health is connected to the food we eat. Colleen sought out additional training through the Nutritional Therapy Association, becoming a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.
Nutritional Therapy utilizes a food first functional approach to health and wellness that allows the body to heal naturally. Nutritional Therapy is an individualized process that allows for each person’s unique needs to be identified and supported by balancing key elements of good health (digestion, blood sugar regulation, fatty acid balance, mineral balance, and hydration) to achieve optimal health. Her focus is on healthy digestion, women’s health, mental health, hormonal balances, and blood sugar dysregulation. Colleen is excited to join you on your health journey.
Samantha Trosky, Reiki Master and Chios Energy Master
Sam started her spiritual journey while volunteering at the Theosophical Society as a teenager, and was blessed to see the Dalai Lama speak at the Parliament of World Religions. She was caregiver for her mother and grandmother, volunteer for Mothers on a Mission, and has a deep desire to help others.
Sam’s son, Andrew, was her biggest inspiration for becoming an energy healer. Andrew has high-functioning Autism, ADHD, mood disorders, behaviorial disorders, and a rare seizure disorder that can cause memory loss for hours or even days. Sam met healers from the Chios Energy Healing School in Chicago while looking for alternative treatment options, and after Andrew’s first Chios session he was drastically calmer and more well-behaved. It was this positive change in her son’s health that inspired Sam to learn Chios Energy Healing so that she could help more children like her son, and soon after added Reiki to her healing skills.
